RASkenazy Village has been founded by the old-Enamel Emperor Mandy Elsas and Empress Uniapas 1. It is a village in construction, situated in a picturesque bush environment at the lake Weija, close to Accra and the coast.
There is a football field, a restaurant and a bar which serves continental and African dishes.
One can enjoy the view of the lake in shadow places made of bamboo and wood. The lake Weija is providing the drinkwater for Ghana and motorised traffic is forbidden on this lake. Also there are houses for rent in which one can enjoy nature in peace.
Between May 1 and May 31 there are strict guidelines regarding disturbing noises; calls for prayer, loud church gatherings, loud music and tribulation in general.
This is one of the few places in the world where temporarily the tribal laws overpower the religious laws. A perfect moment for folks who are searching for silence.
Empress Uniapas 1 and dj RASkenazy (as he is called locally) are married since 2021. This energetic lady is among other things a singer and a visual artist.
In 2023 she was crowned as Diaspora Queen under the name Naa Komley Empesseh the first of Ga State. This means that she advices people in the diaspora and given guidance to people on vacation or returning to the Motherland, Africa ( Repatriation is a must!).
